Live Show, Sunday 28th of February

The next Blue Comets team Live Show will be on Sunday 28th of February !

Overview: For this show, Blue Comets team dared to break off from the usual Mustang: too much time and too many teams using it... After only 3 months preparation, the team will show a dynamic program with five P40M !
around 20 minutes length .
Realistic options except outside view (for public).
The show is made to be watched from the public zone where a static camera has been put (CTRL or shift F2 view).

Timeline:
Spectators will be allowed to enter from 16h30 GMT.
The server will be locked at 17h00 GMT then the show will begin. (18h00 France time)
So come before 17h00 GMT or you may be unable to enter !
If you leave, you won't be able to come back.

Server:

bandwidth 100 down 50 up / 128 Slots

• for people connecting with IP: f16.mine.nu
  
• For people connecting from HL, the name of the host will be: to be defined
  

Version: 4.09m
We generally use the Ultrapack 2.0 but people who only have 4.09m should be able to come and watch (compatible as soon as no mod is activated).
Read following messages about version, UP2.0 ppl will certainly have to activate the "00_stock 4.09m" mod.

- The "MAIN FREQUENCY", if you want to listen to the leader but where you won't be able to talk

download the skin HERE which will be used during the show and put it in your p40M folder:
Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\PaintSchemes\Skins\p-40M
Don't change its name or it will not work.

Rules:
Go on green bases which are made for spectators. Just click CTRL or shift
F2 and you will be on public view, ready to watch. Just follow the show
with your mouse and change zoom if needed.

Miscellaneous:
*Smokes used will be wingtip smokes as all spectators may not have mods to see our central smoke.
* There will be music playing during the show via Teamspeak, so don't be surprised , it's planned !
His name in TS will be "Live Show music", don't mute him, the show will be better with it !


Pictures of the base, IPs of TS and server , and all other missing info will come as soon as possible.

For the server :
to avoid any problem if some spectators don't have the Ultrapack 2.0, the server will certainly be hosted with simple 4.09m.
People who have the UP2.0 just have to activate the mod named : 00_stock 4.09m in the "JSGME" and they will be in 4.09m too.
Some of you will say that 4.09m and 4.09 UP are compatible, but there are some bugs on ground... (plane appearing swimming in the concrete ). Nevertheless, no bug reported in flight for us ..

We have Ultra 2.0 pack but he is off most of the time because we only care to change the output of the smoke (rather than exit the wing with two tracks, is output as exhaust systems with a track only ) then we installed the Ultra pack, but we installed a MOD Smoke AAA site (can not remember now the name of the MOD) and only activate it when we fly ... I have noticed that the the version is at 4.9 but the smoke is only a track, then who uses the 4.9 version without Ultrapack can connect and use the same smoke that we, the more you enable Ultrapack can not enter the session.
We need however to know what the official version so we can secure our place in the Blue Comets show, which for us will be historic because it will be the first show we participate (not flying, but more admiring of the ground) do not want to miss this opportunity!

I suggest that it could be version 4.9, not by me or my squad, but more by the majority of players who do not use ultra pack, but this one is my personal opinion.

well as i said, if we host with UP2.0, ppl with only 4.09 without UP will be able to join, because no mod will be activated. But when we are on ground, they will se us in the air like in the pictures that FW_Mess posted !
so far, it's the only bug i know

Thanks for great support from all.
I have to apologize for all the time lost then the bad performance we offered.

1. 1st problem : we hadn't test the connection with the host and didn't imagined it couldnt work. Only 1/3 of the ppl were able to join the first server.
   
2. 2nd problem : when we decided to use the 'Aerobats' connection , we realized that the map of the show was'nt in the files. All this made lose lot of time.
   
3. 3rd problem: there was a problem with the skin download and we had to delete all the netcache and reboot the server. Thats why nobody had no skin.
   
4. 4th problem: we had some guys coming on blue base who even took off ! we really have to choose the friend who will come to block the base. We didnt imagine there would be so many blue slot as the capacity of the blue base was at the lowest !
   
5. 5th problem: skin took lot of time to download. When we saw it was veryyyy long we decided to go and ask everyone to switch off skin download. BUT skin download changes are only taken into account if you change plane ! thats why it went on downloading, and we realized it only in the air.
   
6. 6th problem: even if we had lots of lags, but continuously, we noticed lag peaks, exactly at the worst moment which make us very suspicious. There is an easy way to do this, it's to make a video track. at at least 3 time, we had a big lag which was NOT obviously coming from skin for 2 reasons : first it was very higher and only for 2 or 3 seconds, which is exactly the lag type made by a NTRK, and secdonly because it occured exactly at the worst moment.
   
7. 7th problem: there should have been a music during the show. The guy had a problem and didnt come. No music.
   
8. 8th problem: we asked to everyone in THIS topic that the show would be in 4.09m verion (no UP2.0) nd explained that to disable UP2.0 its easy with the activation of the 'stock 4.09m' mod in the JSGME. It was even written in the briefing. Looks like eyes and ears are not fully opened sometimes.
   

we have to take lessons from this. We will solve the problems one by one. But just hope that the performance was not too bad so you enjoyed a few things ...
